How to use Adobe XI Pro & Adobe Docs Central to convert PDF to Word (with OCR)?

Our Helpdesk has install  Adobe Acrobat XI Pro  &  Adobe Forms Central
on my laptop when I requested for a software that could do OCR &
convert PDF to editable MSWord doc.

However, they don't know how to use it:  anyone has a Quick Guide on
how to do PDF to Word conversion (with OCR) with these tools?

I don't think they understood your requirements.

Forms Central is to make forms.

Adobe XI Pro does not convert scanned documents as far as I know, but Adobe Acrobat Pro DC can convert scanned documents.  I have Adobe Pro DC.

Hi John,
I have the latest Acrobat Pro DC (19.008.20080) and the latest XI Pro (11.0.23). I haven't done extensive test comparisons, but in normal daily usage I would say that they are comparable in both OCR accuracy and Word conversion quality. The same is true for conversion to Excel, where, just like Word, the difficult issue is maintaining the formatting. Again, both products are good...neither is perfect. Just one person's observation. Regards, Joe

Thanks chaps.

Got it working with XI Pro.

Btw, what does the Distiller XI do:
refer to attached screen.

I opened a pdf file & did "Save As" & it took forever.
