Replace Verizon Fios provided router with another router

What is the best router to replace the router that Verizon provides for Fios? What setup is involved when switching?

Yes, you should be fine with the N450 as long as you follow the articles advice on setup that I posted earlier.  You might take a look at the TP-Link AC1750 Smart WiFi Router if you want faster wireless as well.

For the setup that I'm working on, I don't need high speed internet and I also don't need cable access.
