Cannot See Computers in Domain From File Explorer Windows 10
I cannot view all the computers in the domain when I click on "Network" in file explorer on a Windows 10 workstation. Only 4 machines show up in the list. Network Discovery is turns on along with file/print sharing. Any help is appreciated.

I cannot browse to shares when mapping drives.

That may be persistence. Delete all folder maps, restart and try mapping again.

If I type the path to the share manually \\share-name\share it works fine.
Thanks for that. So then use a Batch File on the desktop to map drives. That is the most solid way to map folders.

I raised the domain level to 2008 last week, would that affect this feature?
Server 2003 would have had SMBv1 running. Server 2008 may or may not. Windows 10 will not. Windows 7 should not.
There are a lot of variables, which is one reason why browsing does not work reliably. But yes it could affect this feature.
Browsing used to work with XP and Server 2003 and a bit beyond but lately no.

My machine here is a Windows 10 Pro machine. I have a Windows 7 Pro guest machine.
From Windows 10: NET USE Z: \\windows7\folder and authenticate gives immediate connection.
Browsing on the Windows 10 machine does not show the Windows 7 machine.
Easier and faster to map drives with NET USE (or Tools, Map Network Drive).

can you browse when connecting to \\[servername] in explorer?
The whole concept of browsing the entire network stopped being necessary with Windows 2000.
You should be using group policy preferences to do drive mappings in an Active Directory domain.

Thanks.
You are very welcome and I was happy to help.
Browsing is dead at least for a little while. Map to folders you need to see. That works. That is what we do at all clients
