Hi Expert,

I would like is there a way to archive OST file? I have set up Hotmail in Outlook 2013 and somehow the archive is running but pst is empty.

I understand pst can be archived but can OST archive using the standard way? Appreciate if any expert can advise me on.

Thanks!

OST files are not meant for archiving and you cannot do this.  Save your OST file in a safe non-Outlook location, delete it from the Outlook location and let it re-sync with your host email

No ost files can't be archived. you will need to export the mail to a pst file. outlooks archive feature will create a pst file and archive the mail to that pst file. see link for assisting with auto archiving in outlook:

Hi Expert,

Thank for reverting back.

@John, I tried still same.

Any good way to export to pst? I did some search all by 3rd party.

Thanks!

Tools for converting OST files are generally not free.
