GPO Shared Drives on Windows 7 Domain Computers

GPO-Windows-7-Error.docxNetwork Shared drives are no longer being mapped on Windows 7 Pro 64bit domain computers through our GPO's.  Windows 10 Pro machines map the drives just fine, but as of last week the Windows 7 units will not.  I made sure that all the updates were current on the machines and ran gpupdate /force on the machine but it still is not mapping the shared drives.  Does anyone have a solution?  This is seriously causing issues this week.  Please see attached gpupdate screenshot of the error.

First thing - check the Services on the Windows 7 machine and confirm the Windows Management Instrumentation service is set to Automatic and is running. (I am sure it is, but worth checking). Also run
gpresult /h C:\report.html

and then check the report that it generates to see if you get any additional information there.

Also, sounds like you're using Group policy to map drives. By any chance is there ALSO a startup script that is also trying to do this? And can you post a screen shot of your group policy drive map setting? there are a few options on how it maps the drive.

On the windows 7 computers are you able to browse to the shares manually (without a mapped drive)?
