autorun CD

I created a memorial slideshow and converted to a .wmv in win 8.1 but do not know how to make the command to make it autoplay copies for relatives.
I can not add File as too large.
This is a timely issue as the memorial is coming up soon.
Thank you,

The process isn't difficult but here's the problem.  All recent versions of Windows have autoplay disabled by default.  You can stick the CD or DVD into a Windows system but it won't play automatically -- Windows is going to ask what to do with the disc.

If you want to go ahead under those conditions, then look at an Autorun tool such as those below.  Or use the venerable-but-probably-still-works CD Autorun (last link below).

Hi Terry,
How did you create the WMV? You'll likely have to further compress it so that it can fit on the disk if the file is too large. If your version of Windows has Windows Movie Maker you can open the file in there, then go to Movie Setting -> Show more choices and reduce the quality of the output file to something that will fit on your CD or DVD.
Then you open Notepad to create a file that has the lines

Save that file as autorun.inf and put that on the CD as well, and that should do the trick.

Let me know if this helps.

Create a reliable backup. Make sure you always have dependable copies of your data so you can restore your entire system or individual files.

for compressing photo's, i use photoresizer

Because Microsoft and some anti-virus software will not allow autorun for security reasons, I used Power DVD software to convert PPT presentation to video. I then used 1 Click Copy Pro for duplication.
Thank you for your suggestions.
