"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Run the message trace using mail flow tab in O365 with the subject and recipient option.

You can start a remote powershell session with exchange online and run the following:

Search-Mailbox -Identity "user" -SearchQuery subject:"verbatim subject line" -TargetMailbox "your mailbox" -TargetFolder inbox -LogOnly

This cmdlet will search the user's mailbox for the email with the subject you add, and when the scan is complete it will show the results on the screen, and also send you an email with the results to your inbox.

How do I run it against whole organization
timgreen7077Exchange EngineerCommented:
To run against entire org you can do this:

Get-Mailbox | Search-Mailbox -SearchQuery subject:"verbatim subject line" -TargetMailbox "your mailbox" -TargetFolder inbox -LogOnly

i need to delete one  suspicious email from the company

This will search your entire org and delete the email from all the mailboxes that have that subject line.

Get-Mailbox | Search-Mailbox -SearchQuery subject:"verbatim subject line" -deletecontent -confirm:$false

Be careful using this cmdlet though.
