Change Outlook in Office 365 from IMAP to POP3
I have a laptop that we have Office 365 set up for the end user.
I set up Outlook and did not realize it set up as IMAP automatically. After a month or so, the end user brought the laptop back and said the folders were not transferring to his phone. I looked at the settings on both and realized it had automatically set to IMAP by Microsoft.
I tried to change it to POP3 but it won't let me because of the folders on the computer that say "on this computer Only". I tried deleting the account and re-adding it as PO3 but it says that you can't add the same email address twice.
My question is: If I get rid of all the folders, will I be able to add the same email address, delete the IMAP and change the account over to POP3 or does anyone know a better workaround.
The end user has created quite a few folders and if I don't have to delete them, I'd rather not.
Thanks in advance
