Office asks for activation even though it's already activated
Hello,
I have a problem with office professional plus 2016. They get the activation key with a MAK key and it works fine.
I've been installing them on many computers and my problem is on computers with windows 10 with a preinstalled office version.
First I have uninstalled it, using the tool of Microsoft since the uninstallation is not present in the add/remove software of the control panel.
Then after restarting the computer, I install it and if I look in "account", I see this
Then, the next day, I get this
and this
So I try to re-enter the key, but activation fails. If I uninstall everything, and re-install it, it works for one day and the the problem occurs again.
I've notice that the limitation date changes every day, and even though its says that most features will be disables, it stays fully functional.
Thank you for your help.

Yeah, that doesn't apply to me since I have volume licenses.
Are there any changes specific to Volume Activation regarding Office, Project and Visio?
Yes, the following Volume Activation changes are related to Office, Project and Visio:
Office KMS Host activates any Office suite or application.
Only one Office KMS key needs to be installed and used for activation.
If you deploy Office using Key Management Service (KMS) as the activation method, note that:
Windows Server is not supported as a KMS host to activate Office.
A patch is not available to allow activation of Office clients.
If you are using Windows Server 2008 as a KMS host, your alternatives are:
Upgrade the KMS host machine to Windows Server.
Downgrade the machine to an older version of Windows Server.
Run the KMS host on a Windows PC.
Run a Windows Server virtual machine on a newer version of Windows Server.
This may be of help also.

Thank you, but I don't use KMS activation but MAK.
Is it possible that the allowable MAk key activation's have been used?
Im curious, is the machine that this is installed on have a Hybrid SSD/HD drive? I have seen this problem when the smarts in the drive moves the application from the HD to the SSD, and Microsoft does not like its programs moved. Just a thought.
Logon to VLSC, look at the counters at the license usage section and see if the MAK key is "overactivated".

I have 500 MAK activations and only 57 used.
And the problem only occurs on the computers with windows 10/office presintalled.

Maybe this can just be answered by MS support. Never seen this with our O2016 Pro Plus MAK.

It's in the link that pgm554 has posted up here.

I see, sorry, I thought it was a different solution and pgm's "was additional value" :-)
The folks at M$ tech support are well aware of the issue.
You would think they would fix it,but they just want to drive you to O365 subscriptions regardless.
