asked on

max # of emails a top recipient receives/hour & avg # of attachments received per week

I hv a readonly account & but unfamiliar with navigating in O365 Exchg online.
My security vendor would like to know 2 information about our O365  Exchange online:

a) what's the highest number of emails a top recipient can receive during peak hour
    per hour

b) what the average number of email attachments we receive each week

Can guide me where/how to get the above info

For item 2, the exact request is :
"As an estimate, how many percent of those emails will have attachments?"

Take a look at the Email usage reports in the O365 portal: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/email-reports-36d351d8-8c95-41ad-975e-6aad4411a325

I got to this "Mail Flow" page in O365 which gives the top few email
users & quoted the top user's  count, almost 500 : is this the # of
emails that top user receives in a day, an hour, or a week?

As for # of attachments, can't locate anything remotely related
to this information in O365

Seen the 1st link provided above: but that doesnt appear to give the
most active email user's # of emails that he receives during peak hour:
perhaps can share what does that 500 figure mean?  Refer to attached

Ok will have to wait for O365 admin to be back from leave as
I don't have access to run PowerShell.

Btw, for that 503 figure that I attached, it's the number of emails
the top user receives  per hour or per day or ??

Thanks:  just reviewed the quadrotech's link,  but can't see anything that indicates
"As an estimate, how many percent of those emails will have attachments?"

or if I can obtain how many emails per day that has attachments?
In Proofpoint dashboard, I could just specify *.* as attachment names while
specifying a period/duration & I could get a list of emails which makes it easy.

But I'm not using nor considering Proofpoint but considering a lower-cost
product here & this vendor needs this statistics.  Basically all attachments
require to be CDR'ed
