Deleted email on android app, keeps asking to setup account

Android phone continues to ask for password to setup account.

I just changed our cell phone users to use Outlook app, instead of default mail app on Android.

I started by going into Accounts and deleting the setup for the email app.

I then downloaded Outlook app and setup their accounts in there.

All the Android phones are randomly asking to "setup account", in the old mail app. It contains the server info and is asking for the password.  EVERY android phone is doing this.  Some users had more than one email account setup under the default email app.  Some users, their corporate account was the only email setup.

FYI - we would sync email, contacts, calendar and tasks.
I have checked calendar and contacts settings for any reference, with no luck.

There are references under the default email app for notifications that still points to their corporate email, even though I removed it.

One user, we deleted their other email account in default mail and set it back up, still have the issue. (they no longer have a reference to the old account under notifications)

I am running out of ideas....

If you delete the accounts, then there would be no references to the old account any more unless that data was backed up on the android device and it attempting to restore the data which would then prompt for the password again. I would suggest removing those accounts from being backed up, and then remove the accounts. Again, when you delete the account there would be no more references unless it was backed up and attempting to restore itself.

Thank you for the response.  I have one of the android phones, it isn't set to backup.
So if you go to settings and accounts (example, different on phones) and remove that account, there should be no more reference in the native email client.

Correct, That is what I did on all phones.  I can look at accounts and see the only reference to the email account in question, is listed under Outlook.  I included examples below.  I don't believe this is what is actually causing the issue, because some users don't have another email account, therefore, you can't even get to notifications for their email app.
