HP Network Printer Ports
When you look at the "ports" HP network computers are on (and others. not just HP) it shows something like "WDP34FCD". Where and how does that port get translated to an IP address?
HP uses WSD for connectivity by default, and not TCP/IP. That is what you are seeing. Completely normal
Also that connection will get a DHCP Address. If you put a Static IP on the printer (I always do) , it still defaults to WSD

I always static IP my printers. Would like a little more detail on WSD. Is that a protocol?

Also (as I was just printing from my phone), HP Printers with Web Services will need the WSD port connection)
