Favourites to Organize

Hello Community Members...

I have Edge browser with about 50 bookmark folders

When I want to move a web - page from one folder to another
the favourites folder tree MOVES QUICKLY so have to do a " HIT 'n' MISS " till I GET IT RIGHT !

Is there a way to press a key OR set of keys to slow it down OR stop it from moving

Have tried keys like Wins Logo CTRL and SHIFT KEYS but not working

All help Valued as ALWAYS

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

My suggestion is to download google chrome and import the bookmarks from the edge browser. Chrome has a bookmark manager and you should be able to easily manage them and move them round as needed without dealing with edge.

Hello Community MEMBER...

Yes ! Could do that and have Chrome as My MAIN browser

I "PREFER" Edge and ALSO use Chrome and Opera

The latter has a search facility to search bookmarks AS WELL !

All help and advice and opinions WELCOMED

open Edge, press CTRL-i in the keyboard and the "Favorites Bar" opens on the right

now you can create folders and place the hyperlink as you see fit

Yes ! Very useful BUT still the same

Lets say I have a bookmark folder of 25 items when I WANT TO MOVE IT WITHIN THAT FOLDER as an example

Moving that single web - page SEEMS to scroll up and down the list (Or other folders) VERY QUICKLY  with Me having NO CONTROL over where it stops

All advice and opinions are VALUED

Are you using a Mouse or are you using a Touch Pad.

I just tried with my external mouse (Laptop computer) and I can move favorites in Edge as slowly as I wish. Does that work for you?

Thank you for the update. A real mouse is much more controllable than a touch pad.  Even better for me on my Lenovo machine that the track point.

Don't understand !

Yes ! K got you a wired mouse (which I just ordered) from eBay for under 10.00 £ would be
a GOOD hardware tool to have at hand

But...

SURE it can be controlled with a track pad AS WELL No ?

Will let you know if I get it going as such...
