gmail does not send back meeting acceptances when a meeting request is sent from Office 365 / Outlook.

My customer is on Office 365.  When a user sends a meeting invite to someone with a gmail.com email address they receive the meeting request OK.  They then click 'Yes' on gmail.

However no meeting acceptance is received back at the other end i.e. in Outlook.

I've tested this from several different Office and Exchange environments.

Any ideas ?

It works just fine for me. Have you run a message trace on O365 side to see what happens with the acceptance response?

Its not just Office 365 - its also on premise exchange servers.  So this suggests to me its some issue on the TIBCO side i.e. not an issue with the acceptance response being blocked / lost when coming back through anti-virus/anti-spam or Exchange
Well if it happens for than just gmail, check your Transport rules. Although if the acceptance message was blocked by a TR, this would show in the message trace logs, so did you check them?
Vasil - how could this be anything to do with Transport rules given the meeting is successfully received by the attendee who is using gmail ? Its just that the acceptance is either not being generated by gmail or if it is not getting back to Outlook/Exchange .e.g. is a front end mail processor like Trend Micro Hosted email security blocking it ?
The "getting back" part has a lot to do with Transport rules, so check the message trace. And if you have other appliances sitting in front of EOP, such as Trend Micro's Hosted email security, check the logs there as well.
Both this customer and my customer have Trend Micro Hosted Email Security i.e. all email goes through Trend's servers FIRST.

There is NOTHING on the logs that shows meeting acceptance emails coming back or getting blocked i.e. not even hitting Trend.

Therefore this would suggest this is an issue with Gmail NOT EVEN SENDING meeting acceptances back...… ???
It would seem so. In the test I did with my O365 mailbox to a Gmail account, they were sent/received just fine though.
