RDP Client or Server Issue? "Could not connect in time allotted"
Hello,
When you open the Microsoft RDP application, type in the PC/server details and click connect you are then presented with the credentials window. If you leave this credentials window open for over 10 minutes or so is it normal for the application to produce an error when eventually attempting to sign in? I usually get "An internal error has occurred" or "The two computers could not connect in the amount of time allotted".
This may sound like a strange one but this is why this is an issue for us.
We run a script set via group policy that upon PC boot up it auto signs into a generic local user account and then pops up the RDP client credentials window. This credentials window sometimes gets left open for a while as users go grab a morning coffee, go on lunch etc. When they come back to sign in it takes two attempts to sign into the remote server.
Thanks,
Adam.
