I am trying to look for the term wavelength of light varies between single mode fiber and multi mode fiber. I am looking for an analogy to disturb them.

Bigger (multimode) fiber has more dispersion than singlemode fiber and the latter has higher bandwidth. But that does not address the question; so yes, what are you looking for?

You could try to curl the fiber in continuously shorter spiral. Don't break the fiber though. If the radius is too short  lots of light will leave the pipe.  Not sure when the going get too tough for a connection though.
Another thing can be a polarizing filter set   that should limit the amount of light that can pass it.
Also note that too much signal will also kill any information getting accross a fibre. (The receiver will not  get the message from the too loud sending transmitter, (That where the previous filter is meant for).
