Windows Admin Center login outside AD domain

I've been using Windows Admin Center for weeks.  It's a useful tool.  But my laptop is not connected to the AD network.  I don't use a domain user for the login on the laptop, it's in workgroup.  But WAC used this workgroup account so I can't see or add servers and devices.  I'm connected to the AD through the VPN.

I'm trying to find a workaround.  But I want to keep things simple.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can run any Microsoft Console by using 'Run as a different user' and select your  domain account to run it.
Alternatively, you can use Remote Desktop to a server and run the tools from server instead.

WAC is not a console, it's web based.  I guess the only way it to run it from another PC (Remote Desktop)

Did you install WAC on your laptop, or on another server?

You do not have to use your local account, you can specify user/password for connections to one or more servers in WAC
