Mac, HP Printer & wireless printing not working.

I’ve got a MacBook Pro, running High Sierra 10.13.4 & an HP OfficeJet 4650 All-in-One printer & can’t get them to work together. Using the HP software, I get no devices detected.
If I connect Mac to the printers built in WiFi network, it detects & sets up ok, but of course there goes my internet connection!

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Give the printer a static IP address (Printer Settings Panel) outside the range of your network DHCP range and that should work fine

That seemed to have worked so far on my older Mac, will try original problem child this evening...
