how can I connect a standard external USB flash drive to a Visual Land Premier 10 (Model: ME-10W)?

Hello and Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am wondering how I can connect a standard external USB flash drive to a Visual Land Premier 10 (Model: ME-10W).  The best I can tell from a visual inspection of this tablet is that it has a micro-USB port, but, the standard external USB flash drive requires a standard USB port.  This is speculation on my part, but, perhaps there is an external device which can connect to this micro-USB port and provide various USB interfaces including a standard interface for an external USB flash drive.  If so, could someone provide a direct online purchase link for one?  Given this inherent limitation of the Visual Land Premier 10 (Model: ME-10W), I believe this would be the only option with respect to resolving this issue assuming, of course, it is a possibility.

Any feedback given to this question will be greatly appreciated.

           Thank you

Seems you want a USB to micro USB cable ...

You don't have to buy from Amazon.  Your local computer store should have one.

Thank you for your link.  Unfortunately, this is not what I have in mind.  Basically, I am needing a device which will connect into a micro-USB port of my tablet with various USB outlets which support various external USB device interfaces especially a standard external USB flash drive.  See, my tablet has a mini or micro-USB port on it which does not have the physical configuration needed to connect a standard USB flash drive.   Seeing that I am not sure if external USB flash drives are made with a micro or mini USB connector, I figure the next best thing would be a USB device which would act as a bridge between the tablet and the external USB flash drive.  Hope this helps clear up the confusion surrounding my original post.

John,

Brunton has assisted me in the past with a variety of different technical issues.  As such, I do recognize him as a very competent advisor on this site.  That said, I still have to go with the feedback which resolved or directly answered my question.  Of the responses given, which they were all good by the way, I have to say your answer was most germane to what was asked.  While Andy's answer certainly did address the question, I have to go with your recommended link because it has a wide range of devices (USB C hubs) with greater versatility.

On a side note, I am temporarily postponing the full closure of this post with respect to selecting the best answer given due to my lack of fully understanding the direction you were going with your comment about Brunton.   My interpretation of your comment is that you feel Brunton should be given full credit for answering this question.  After carefully re-reading my original question in addition to the responses given and that is how you really feel, I will close it with Brunton's response being the solution.

Let me know what you want to do on this one, John.  I do want to be fair, but objective, at the same time.  Hope that makes sense.

Hello George,

You wrote "I have to say your answer was most germane to what was asked.  "

You can select an answer that is what you want and then give bonus points to the other answers as we are all trying to help.

Thanks.

Thanks, John.  How are bonus points awarded?

John,

I remember exactly doing that some time back.  It looks like the option of rewarding bonus points no longer exist.   The only option I see is to accept a response as the answer.

         George
You can accept my answer and then you can still use the slider on other members to award them points as well. I was asking you to do this as you clarified the question .

I leave it now in your hands.
The cable I posted was about 7th down in db's list.
for a flash drive you would need a micro-usb male to USB-A female
For an external drive that uses USB-A male on both ends you need a micro-usb male to USB-A male
