Afiniti Exchange AD
asked on
MAC user having the Outlook Connectivity error.
A MAC user reported"The mailbox database is temporarily unavailable. underlying MAPI stream threw an exception. Mail could not be sent. The message has been moved to your Drafts folder."
Is this issue with one user or more? Are you able to access same use using OWA or from different PC.

The issue was reported only by 1 MAC user, Same MAILBOX Database has around 290 users on it.
There is a difference between user accessing outlook from MAC and Windows. MAC uses EWS protocol to access Exchange mailbox. That's why, i am asking you to check same user from OWA and from different PC,preferably Windows. Let me know, the result.

The problem was faced 10 hours back and the user is not facing it at the moment.
If user not facing any issue, then I don't think, we can do much, for troubleshooting. If issue comes back again, then you can do following checks:
1) Ping Exchange server and check for network issue.
2) Open EWS URL and check, if you are able to open it.
3) Open user mailbox using OWA.
4) Open user mailbox using Outlook from different system.
5) Disable add-ins and check, if that fixes the issue.
6) Disable Anti-virus, if any.
Hope that will help you to troubleshoot.

This happens frequently in Mac Outlook with about 40 Shared calendars. They eventually sync up, but Mac Outlook likely hits the server multiple times too quickly and fails to connect. It usually happens when Outlook first starts, but once it's started they eventually sync up and eventually reconnects each shared calendar periodically instead of all at once.
