Checked out status not showing on source module. Using Team Foundation Server in this case.

I excluded a c# module ( under control of Team Foundation Server) in my visual studio solution. Prior to right clicking on source and excluding it - the status showed source module checked out.
I re-included it and the status shows not checked out.

How do I reestablish checked out without replacing it from server.

did you try to do 'Get Latest' by using the Source Control Explorer (SCE) ?

the SCE can be invoked from Team Explorer menu.

When I right click on source, I do not see Get Latest Version. I do see Replace the module from server.

What is going on?   Notice there is no checked out red check mark.

check if the workspace shown at top of SCE was the same you were using in Team Explorer.

if the workspace was on some remote server change it to a local workspace. this could be done for example after restarting Visual Studio.

Sara
It's on local workspace.
in SCE:

- check the name of the workspace
- check the local path
- use GetLatest by right-clicking on the source folder

In Team Explorer
- click on Home Mini-Button
- check URL shown below Team Foundation Server
- check name of Workspace shown below Solutions
