SQL2014 Failover setup  2 Nodes 3 SQL instances al have SQL Database Email setup

On 2 of the 3 instances Email stopped working all 3 where working great
I do not know what caused this or when it started and I just got some time to look into this   getting this error every time email is attempted to be sent

Se attached for the log

Also tried running this query
ALTER DATABASE MSDB SET ENABLE_BROKER

And it is just not completing   Executing query is taking very long time

Any ideas?

As mentioned in the error, the account used in Database mail to connect to your SMTP server couldn't connect and hence the error..
I would suggest you to reconfigure your Database mail as mentioned below:
https://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/1100/setting-up-database-mail-for-sql-server/

Kindly make sure that you provide valid credentials in SMTP Authentication of the "New Database Mail Account" wizard..
Also ensure that your SMTP server doesn't block connections from your DB Server either via Firewall or something else..

ASKER

Raja

It is not a firewall issue remember I noted that I have three instances running on both nodes and only one instance the email is still working.

All three are setup the same.

I tried to setup the profile per the doc and got the exact same results.

It has to be something more

Thanks
