1.pngso all of a sudden some emails stop flowing and my connector is not validating, been setup for years and we did not change any server or network settings

i have Office 365 and a hybrid server - exchange 2010

the emails that are failing are coming from my mercury server and flows thru my exchange to office 365. i have contacted microsoft support but they are saying its an internal issue.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That's usually a firewall/network issue, so talk with your network folks.

i am the network folk lol - did not made any network changes and we also whitelist office 365 IP's
Vasil Michev (MVP)Commented:
Well, simply try bypassing your firewall devices. Socket error 10061 is usually caused by something blocking the connection.
Problems using Powershell and Active Directory?

Managing Active Directory does not always have to be complicated.  If you are spending more time trying instead of doing, then it's time to look at something else. For nearly 20 years, AD admins around the world have used one tool for day-to-day AD management: Hyena. Discover why

on my firewall syslogs i see this error - could this be why?

ASA-4-106023: Deny tcp src WAN:104.47.34.56/11840 dst LAN:exchange ip address by access-group "OUTSIDE_access_in" [0x0, 0x0]

from an ip lookup the ip address 104.47.34.56 seems to be a microsft ip
Vasil Michev (MVP)Commented:
Most likely. It seems to correspond to one of the EOP servers, so if your firewall is blocking the connection to it it might as well be what's preventing the connector from properly functioning. Simply run a test with disabling/bypassing the firewall to be sure.
