Word 2016 Read Mode Shows Scrolling Page Not One Page at a Time

Using Read mode
Used to be Read Mode would show just one page at a time.
Now, selecting Read Mode shows me scrolling pages.
It does suppress all toolbars and strips away a lot.
Need to get the Read Mode to show just one page at a time.
What am I doing wrong?

I meant scrolling up and down.
Used to show

And, you'd click page down. Show just the next page.
Only one at a time.
Now shows:

With the pages scrolling up and down.
It's that one page in the window at a time that I'd like to get back.

Updates have changed this. Reading mode now scrolls side to side.
So it is just the new way.
