Adding private SSD to HP or DELL servers

I am replacing an existing server in 5 user network (very light traffic - word/excel, no exchange) and I like to get your take on the following two severs that I am considering:
(1) Dell PowerEdge T30 Mini-Tower Server
(2) HPE ProLiant MicroServer Gen10

* I like to add  two of WD Blue 3D NAND 1TB PC SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s, M.2 2280 - WDS100T2B0B ($134.99 at AMAZON) on RAID 1 with a hot spare.
* I like to install Windows Server 2019 Essentials, add Hyper-v role to it and create a virtual machine running Windows Server 2019 Essentials as DC.

Is there anyone who is experienced in setting up these servers as virtual servers with non-HP or non-DELL brand SSDs?

Forgive me if it's changed but I didn't think you could run the Hyper-V role on Windows Essentials - only on standard or above?

As for the drives, you should be able to install them as you would any other drive. You may need to have drivers available for them if Windows doesn't auto-detect and obviously HP/Dell won't support the drives themselves.

It's worth checking any Dell/HP Raid card is compatible with them as well before purchase. Check manufacturer site for info is the best bet.

@Andy
Let me download Windows Server 2019 Essentials and try to add hyper-v role to it. I will report back.
WDS100T2B0B are not enterprise devices so don't have the spare unseen capacity to do their own background garbage collection, for that reason you should turn any hardware RAID off so that TRIM can be used, You can still use software RAID.
Do those servers even have m.2 interfaces?

"Do those servers even have m.2 interfaces?" --> I am not sure, but we have decided to go with regular STATA hard drives.

I could not download Windows Server 2019 Essentials ISO file. It is very strange ... I can buy the software, but trial version ISO is not available from the link https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-windows-server-2019-essentials

Anyway I downloaded Windows Server 2016 Essentials ISO file,  installed it, added Hyper-V role, created a virtual machine running Windows Server 2016 Essentials successfully. So I guess you can run Hyper-V on Windows Server 2016 Essentials.
