"Windows defender firewall is using settings that may make your device unsafe"
Windows 10 Version 1809 Build 17763.107
Windows Defender Security Center says:
"Windows defender firewall is using settings that may make your device unsafe"
I reset the firewall and it seemed to work in fixing this.,
Then I applied our standard script which adds firewall settings.
Now the message is back.
But how to find the problem?

Tough to answer without knowing the script. For all we know. The script is a single line that disables the firewall. Which would obviously be insecure. Worth knowing what's in your script.

Hoping for something more like what's found in Event Viewer, I was afraid that Owen Rubin's suggestion would be a likely approach.
I wasn't going to ask anyone to read the script...

Although I’ll bet there are people here who would read it! :-)

Well, the script has maybe 7 sections that do different things. No section is very long and some are more or less "one liners".
So, I split it up into 7 separate scripts and ran them one at a time after resetting the firewall.
Of course, after all of the scripts had been run, it still wasn't broken!
So then I ran the entire script (in case I'd missed something) and same thing!
It appears that the firewall just needed to be reset to begin with - and we'll never know why.

Thanks!!
That is odd, but glad it works out.
