GPO applied wrong settings, cannot undo

Hello,

I need to lower the Internet Explorer zone settings for Internet as many users are finding it difficult to download items from some websites, mainly government sites where the work with VAT and other depositions.

So, I made one simple change to the default domain GPO which was

User config<policies<administrative templates<windows components<internet explorer<internet control panel<security page<
then enabled Internet Zone Template and set it to Medium.

However when the policy became applied the Internet zone was blocked at Medium-high even though I specified Medium. Now I can't remove this, I reset the Internet Zone Template back to Not Configured, even tried Disabled but now all the suers are stuck on medium High, as if the policy is still being applied.

If it makes any difference the users are on a RDS server.

Please help!

Thanks very much.

To fix this on a per-user basis quickly, open RegEdit and navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\2
Set the
REG_DWORD value CurrentLevel to hexadecimal value 0x11000 or decimal value 69632.
