Best Hard Drive set up using SSD

i am getting a new computer (it has been 8 years) and wondering about best SSD Hard Drive config.

I am mainly using the Adobe products, but no 3D stuff.... photoshop, preimer, illustrator.

What is the fastest setup

- 1 SSD for both OS and Programs
- 1 SSD for OS and another SSD for Programs?

Does this even matter anymore?  thanks

1 SSD for both OS and programs.  SSDs are great for reading eg loading apps (programs).  You'll notice the boot/startup is wonderful.

Not necessarily the best for writing back but you probably won't notice that.

If you've got apps that are doing a large amount of writing to disk eg video processing apps then see if it is possible to redirect the writing folder to another drive.  If it is then invest in an (extra) ordinary hard disk for this purpose.  You'll wear this hard disk out rather than the SSD.

Look for a computer that uses NVMe instead of SATA SSD.  NVMe is 5x faster than standard SSDs which are about 5x faster than classic drives.  And NVMe isn't that much more... 10%?
