Is there a way to convert a scan document PDF to XML 2.6? I tried to convert it using Adobe Acrobat, Save as XML format, but it saved as XML 1.0.

Hi Arturo,
I'm not aware of XML 2.6. Can you provide a link to documentation on it? According to the Wikipedia article on XML, there are only two current versions of XML — 1.0 and 1.1. The article also says, "There has been discussion of an XML 2.0, although no organization has announced plans for work on such a project." It's possible that the Wikipedia article is wrong, but I doubt it. I'm tending to believe that there is no 2.0, let alone a 2.6, but if you have a link to it, please post it. Regards, Joe

Hi Joe, I don't have any documentation. I also never heard of that version. I was asked to submit a file in this format by a company from a scanned pdf document. I was hoping a Master here was aware of something new. I'll request more info about their request. I'll post back their response. Thanks Joe
Thank you, Joe. We found out later only certain software is capable of produce MISMO XML 2.6 files, but it looks like there is no way to convert existing files to that version just yet. Thanks again
Hi Arturo,
Thanks for the update. I am not familiar with MISMO, but I think the key point here is that the "2.6" version refers to MISMO, not to XML. As I noted earlier, current versions of XML are 1.0 and 1.1. The highest release of MISMO Version 2 was 2.6, and that's what you're talking about: http://www.mismo.org/standards-and-resources/residential-specifications/mismo-version-2
