I'm getting the following error in the System Event log for a Windows 10 install on a new domain.
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{9E175B6D-F52A-11D8-B9A5-505054503030}
and APPID
{9E175B9C-F52A-11D8-B9A5-505054503030}
to the user WWI\Administrator SID (S-1-5-21-990624160-1124455239-3479332875-500) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.
Looking through prior EE answers, the suggestion is to go into dcom config and look at the permissions for the CLSID mentioned. I can't find this CLSID in the list.
Thanks!

Recently abandoned a very old AD that had seen way too many upgrades and an now on a fresh domain running on a W2008 R2 server.
This workstation is also a fresh WIn 10 install that worked fine; after joining the domain there were some oddities with security (as domain admin I couldn't view some folders under c:\users, etc.). Tried to fix those by adding the 'domain admins' group to the c:\users folder and then started having issues.
There are other oddities now when logged in to the domain admin account. Can't bring up Edge, Action Center, or left-click the lower left home button. Didn't want to cloud this request with details that might be irrelevant so didn't include them with the original description.
It does, thank you. The reason I was poking around to start with is I do have access issues to an AD server to folders on my local WIn 10 workstation after joining the domain. Logging in as the domain administrator, left-clicking on the Windows button in the lower left does nothing; the search area on the task bar is not editable, and I can't bring up the Action Center. I can also no longer store files in the root of the c:\ drive, and am unable to update other folders as well. Was hoping this was a clue to the odd behavior.
If I log in with one of the local accounts on this workstation, I have access to the items mentioned above.
Can log this as a different question if desired.
Thanks!

Thanks to both of you who took a look at this. Glad it wasn't a big issue in this case.
