Exchange 2010 to 2019 (single server)

We have a single 2010 Exchange server on our domain (49 mailboxes). What is the least painful way to migrate up to Exchange 2019? Our current network has 2 2008R2 DCs which we will be upgrading. All of the clients are on Win 7 or 10 with Outlook 2016. Our plan is to upgrade the DCs first (hopefully there are no issues upgrading from 2008R2 to 2019), then deal with Exchange.

I currently have a new server with Server 2019 on it. Should I install Exchange 2016 on that (then upgrade to Exchange 2019 later) and migrate?

Why I am asking, exchange 2019 prerequisites mentioned that 128 GB minimum memory required for mailbox server

is this true?

Damn, just looked. 128GB RAM is recommended for the mailbox role. They show 64 for Edge transport, so I'm not sure if that means 192 total for a single server deployment. 2016 lists 8GB and 4GB respectively. 2019s minimums are nuts!

Looks like I'll be sticking with upgrading to Exchange 2016 for now. Can it be installed on server 2019?

Sounds like M$ is up to its old tricks by trying to force you to move to O365.

It's all gonna be subscription.
I'm betting all devices will be part of the subscription too.
Probably proprietary if M$ has anything to do with it.
The circle of IT continues to turn from mainframe to distributed back to mainframe.
