VMware Horizon Client lost connection to server
Software: VMware Horizon Client
Problem: When trying to connect to a server, a message appears that said, "lost connection to server"
Other people who use the resource do not have the same problem
Solution: Right mouse click the server square in the VMware Horizon Client and selected RDP.
I am trying to find the root cause of the problem, and I am thinking maybe a software update may have set VMware client back to the default setting.
Any ideas what could have caused the problem?
Or maybe a Windows Update. I have not looked at the log file. But I may need to know how the VMWare Horizon client suppose to work.
Research: https://communities.vmware.com/thread/548924
Based upon the above research, the server that VMware Horizon Client connects to was restarted, upgraded and the client (VMware Horizon client) tried to connect to the server, it was not finish being configured so it got the PCoIP setting instead of the RDP setting.
I did not look at any of the Application log files, or see if VMWare Horizon Client has any (log files), but I did re-install the software and updated the computer BIOS, all the other drivers were updated.

what is the version of the client and server?
ASKER
All I know is that I have the below:
Name: VMware-Horizon-Client-4.10 .0-1102108 6.exe
Release Date: 2018-12-13
Build Number: 11021086
I may have to reach out to the system administrative to find out the version of the server.

ok...that is the latest version of the client which should be fine.
i assume this is on a local network? does the same person have the same problem on a different computer that is working?
what protocol is the pool configured to use?
