How to watch live TV sports on an Apple TV?

User would like to become a 'cable cutter'
They have some 'smart TVs' (I dislike the interface these have) and 2 Apple TV (If they are not recent, they will replace)

Big requirement - Watching all the major sports events.

Are there paid apps/services for the Apple TV that will allow live sports?

Thanks.

Open the TV app on your Apple TV.

Hi computerlarry,
Your client can subscribe directly to the "Season Pass" of the sport they want to watch, such as NFL Game Pass, NBA League Pass (which depends on if they want all teams or just one team's games), MLB.tv, etc. Then download the app on either AppleTV or their smart TV and then watch from there.

It kind of sounds like they watch a variety of sports, so perhaps a streaming TV service would be something they are interested in. There's some options here such as YouTube TV, Hulu, DirectTV Now, etc. Depending on if they have AT&T mobile phone service, they might be able to receive a discount by bundling services with DirecTV Now (they are both owned by AT&T).

Hope this information is helpful,
Martin
