Stuck at Post deployment configuration windows server 2016
In the Windows server 2016 server manager action center, there is a message requesting post deployment configuration for windows server essential experience , upon running the wizard it promptly stops and says certificate authority has been installed on this server, what would we have to do in order to move past this or allow the post deployment configuration to complete?

I'd recommend uninstalling the Active Directory Certificate Services role, assuming you've installed it manually. This will allow the wizard to continue (and ironically will reinstall the service I believe!)
Note: if you've already issued certificates , removal of this role will invalidate them.
