I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

FILESTREAM allows to store any file (or better said unstructured data) outside the standard SQL Server database in the local file system. More info:

FILESTREAM mirroring and several other features are not supported on SQL Server.
More info:

Your query
select * from information_schema.columns where data_type='VARBINARY'
does not show FILESTREAM filegroups but just varbinary columns used in your data tables.

Try this query:
USE YourDatabase
SELECT * FROM sys.filegroups
