MS Exchange 2010 Hosted Mode - Out Of Date

MS Exchange 2010 Hosted Mode

I have a client that has an MS Exchange 2010 (in hosted mode) system installed. It is currently running at version:
User generated imageNow, I am aware this is well, well out of date and having checked here I can see that the system is currently at Update Rollup 8 for Exchange Server 2010 SP.

So, with very little experience of MS EX 2010 Hosted Mode, can any experts on the topic answer for me:
  1. Can I update to Exchange Server 2010 SP3
  2. Can I then update to latest Update Rollup 24 for Exchange Server 2010 SP3?
  3. Are there any risks to the Hosted Mode (very important)

Or any other comments?

Thanks
Mark

You should upgrade to latest version, yes first start with CAS, HuB and last MBX
There is some risk of course like any other update or upgrade, the important point is to have a backup of the server and also bring all the updates of windows (windows update) before running the instalation.

so the process would be:

1. Backup the server.
2. Install all windows server related updates
3. install all exchange server related updates (on windows update)
4. Install SP3
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/new-features/build-numbers-and-release-dates?view=exchserver-2019#exchange-server-2010-sp3-build-numbers
And read the prerequisite of the system
5 check more updates on windows update.
