I wish to use the Google Authenticator app. I have it installed on my iPhone, but also want to add it on my iPad. Can I do this?

As long as you have the QR code to scan or the user account and associated key, you can add it to multiple devices.

Yes
according to google, you can do this.

Setting up Google Authenticator on multiple devices

You can set up Google Authenticator so that you can generate verification codes from more than one device.

Make sure that you have Google Authenticator downloaded on all devices that you want to use.
Go to the 2-Step Verification section of your Google Account.
If you've already set up Google Authenticator for your account, delete that account from Authenticator.
Follow the steps on the screen to set up 2-Step Verification for the Authenticator app. Use the same QR code or secret key on all your devices.
To check if it's working, make sure the verification codes on each device are the same.

Do not use Google Authenticator. It does not sync between devices and you have to manually backup your secret keys.

Use Authy instead. It is a drop-in replacement for Google Authenticator

Or LassPass authenticator if you are a LastPass fan/user
