Caution icon on network but still have internet/network access

I have a computer on my network with the caution symbol on the internet connection.  For the most part this is not interfering with operation of my computer, however, I do have an issue with my office 365 and the repair for that is being affected by the status of the internet. This is happening on multiple users including the Administrator.  I have tried just about everything I can think of to correct the caution icon issue:

I have disjoined and rejoined to my domain,
I have gone through the flushdns, release, renew
     ran a microsoft TCP/IP fix,
updated drivers for the WAN and WWLAN,
     ran Dell diagnostics,
switched the WAN Auto Config and WWLAN Auto Config in services from Manual to Automatic,
Restored it to an earlier point,
tried it on a non work network,
tried both static IP and DHCP issued IP,
and Tried it with internal and extenal DNS.

the computer is a Dell Precision M2800
   windows 7 64bit intel i7-4710MQ
   8gb memory
   Intel ethernet connection I217 version12.13.17.4
   Intel 6235 wifi version 15.4.1.1

Thank you.  Disabling  the hotspot assistant seems to have resolved the issue.
