Configuration Manager is looking for policy.

When attempting to use PXE boot on a client PC I'm getting the error: "Configuration Manager is looking for Policy." And then it aborts.

I'm following the article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4468612/troubleshoot-pxe-boot-issues-in-configuration-manager

Near the very bottom. It says to use SMSPXE.log but the log only has 4 errors:
Failed to load global logging configuration. Using defaults
Could not load logging configuration for component ccmperf. Using defaults.
Failed to load global logging configuration. Using defaults.
Could not load logging configuration for component ccmperf. Using defaults.

So I'm kind of stuck at this point.

Have you enabled unknown computer support:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/osd/get-started/prepare-for-unknown-computer-deployments

It sounds to me like everything is okay with PXE as it is getting to the point of loading policy. The only other two things that i have seen that can cause this behaviour, are the clock being out of sync with the SCCM server / Domain Controller, or a bad harddrive

Thank you Chris, I'll go ahead and take a look at this suggestion.
You may also want to try the suggestions I have listed here:

https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/29132452/Cannot-deploy-to-a-PC-that-is-seemingly-unknown-to-SCCM.html

Just in case the machine already exists in the SCCM database. If it does you will have to delete it as SCCM may not be seeing it as a new machine anymore.
