Error message not allowing RDP connection sometimes when trying to establish an RDP session outside the firewall.
We have a user who gets the error intermittently noted in the attachment when trying to establish an RDP session. This is from outside of our firewall using a port number, such as RDP address ftp.companyname.com:5630. Updates are up to date. This is from a MS Windows 10 mobile laptop computer to a MS Windows 7 desktop computer. Has anyone else seen problems involving this specific error message and what's involved? Thanks.

Does it prompt for the password that you have physically typed or does it use a saved credential?

It prompts for the password.
That message would indicate he didn't type in a password.

He normally has them as stored credentials but states that it is prompting him anyway on occasion, so we might have hit into something that the problem really has evolved to why is it prompting for password intermittently when has checked and uses as stored credentials.
If he changed the password in the office, the stored credentials will be wrong.

Yes, but he hasn't changed any password information any time recently though.
How often does he see this problem and is there any chance the PC in the office went to sleep? I can see the timeout limit being reached if the PC needs to be awakened.

How often seeing: Probably 1 out of 3 or 4 connection attempts? I'm not sure about the PC 'sleeping'. That's something and I'll have to dig further and report. Thx.
