format paint to many lines

how to apply format painter(from line 1) to more than one lines(say line 2 at start line 10 at middle, line 20 at end) at different places in word one line at top one line at middle one line at end

Highlight or select the text you like and DOUBLE CLICK the format painter button. It will stay turned on until you tap ESC key or click once again on the format painter button to turn off

You can use this method to copy the same formatting to different locations in the document:

1.      Select the text with the formatting you want to apply.
2.      Click the Format painter icon to copy the formatting.
3.      Select the text to which you want to apply the formatting.
4.      Press Crtl+Shift+V.
5.      You can repeat steps 3 and 4 as much as you can in the document while it is open.

once i do step 4 i am loosing step 1, 2
It is focing me to do step 1, 2 all over again everytime
please advise

to copy the same format to multiple locations you copy the format once (in steps 1 & 2) and paste it as much as you want(steps 3&4).
if you want to copy other format you must repeat steps 1 & 2.
