Degraded disk when configuring Disk enclosure HP 2050
Dear Experts, we purchased Disk enclosure HPE 2050 yesterday to expand the storage capacity of SAN storage controller HPE MSA 2040.
We connected 1 SAS cable from OUT port of 2040 to IN port of 2050. After that, we turned on the 2050 device and add disk group, built RAID6 but it seems like take longer time than expected. Moreover, we got the "Degraded" status on Disks information, so is it normal? Can you suggest please? Should we connect the other SAS cable between 2 devices?

Okay, so can we connect the SAS cable when all devices are up? Or we have to turn off the disk enclosure 2050
You can connect it live.

Should we create a new Volume or extend the current ones?
I would create a new one, extending takes ages.
