Android Kiosk wont boot. Don't know how to reinstall.

We have a kiosk running Android with a keyboard and mouse. Trying to reinstall the OS but there is no SDcard slot just USB but it wont boot off any usb drives (tried linux and android installers). Don't know they shortcut key to get it to boot off usb. Its not a phone so there is no 'power and volume down' combos. (See pics).
It boots and displays the kitkat 4.4.2 logo and version then goes black...then screen freezes on black. There are no model numbers listed anywhere on the board.

You have nothing to fall back on. Any Android install, be it a phone or any other device, is EXTREMELY finicky.
Even with the bigger known brands like Samsung, LG, Huawei etc etc, you need to have the EXACT correct install image before you can even proceed.
You on the other hand, are missing vital information about the device, and also the valid procedure. This looks like it's going to be a big disappointment, as there are too many things that's just not right.
The age of the device/android version, doesn't help either, meaning even if there were images to download/instructions to be found on the web, those are now in danger of being deleted at the source already.
On top of that, you didn't consider that it might actually be a hardware defect. That would mean after all the hard work to update (or probably restore old version), it might have the exact same symptoms.
Sorry to say, really all odds are against you in this case.

I see a few white stickers with barcodes (and possible part nr's), maybe you can take 2 more detailed pics of those (left bottom has one, and one to the left side of the green board)? Or just type it out here.

Another thing to try is to find the old invoice of this hardware, and check if that company is still alive. Even if they probably won't help you with this case (toooooo old), they may have an alternative solution for you (maybe a newer version of the kiosk).
Please not when Kimputer wrote "Any Android install, be it a phone or any other device, is EXTREMELY finicky."

The word extremely is in caps. This is a nice way of saying... making any minor change to an Android install will likely brick your device.

Trying to use Android for a Kiosk. Ouch... You've now entered Thrillseeker Territory.

Stick with a real OS, like Ubuntu or Alpine.

You'll likely save yourself a massive amount of time, just replacing the SBC board + starting from scratch, with a real OS (Ubuntu or Alpine).

Getting the boot preamble + then a black screen suggests something very bad is afoot.

Likely some hardware has failed. Likely the boot device.

I am trying to fix a broken kiosk. I didnt choose it.
Describe your boot media. Where the OS loads from.
Don't know. Its onboard. Tried hooking it to a pc but nothing happens..
So the ribbon cable in your image is going to the terminal or some sort of printer device?
Yes they do not go to any type of media.
this place seems to deal with DJI kiosks... Maybe they can at least point you in the right direction.
