Sony Sound Forge ver 10.

My OS is win 7 64 bit and I am using a dell e6500 laptop and I am using sony Sound forge ver 10.  I created a short wave file which is a person chanting a mantra.  But he is chanting very fast thus not possible to catch what are the words.  Is there any way to slow the track without making the sound slurred.   thank u

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Work from a copy of the original .Wav

Load the file highlight the area you want to listen to and choose Process>Time>Timestretch

From the options menu that appears select from the drop down at the top "[Sys] Time expand 110% of original"
and in Mode choose filter "A07, Speech 1"

Click OK to apply your settings

Try the playback again and see if it's easier to understand, if not repeat in 10% increments until you have what you need.
