Upgrade SQL Express 2008 sp2 problem

Dear All


              I was trying to upgrade SQL Express 2008 sp2, but during the installation, I received 2 failed, any idea how to get this fix ?

Did you clicked on the "Failed" to get more details and did you checked the log file generated? With so little details is really impossible to help in my opinion and the log file should give you the most info about what went wrong.

C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Setup Bootstrap\Log   <--- I seeing the log data is in year 2015, is that still useful ?
For the first error it may be that the account used to perform the upgrade does not have sufficient permissions to restart SQL Service and for second is the fact that SQL Express SP can't upgrade the R2 edition.
This question needs an answer!
