Android LG K7. Hitting delete in middle of paragraph has bad results.

I have an LG K7 cell phone. When I type a paragraph and proofread it, I may need to make a correction in the middle of the paragraph. So in this paragraph I'm going to correct the word make in the previous sentence.

I put the cursor at the end of the word make, and hit the delete key. No problem. I hit the delete key one more time and garbage appears. Often it is the last word I typed. In below paragraph is what I see after I hit the delete key twice.

I have an LG K7 cell phone. When I type a paragraph and proofread it, I may neecorrect a correction in the middle of the paragraph. So in this paragraph I'm going to correct the word make in the previous sentence.

It looks like the delete key did a lot more than delete the character 'k'.  I had:

    "need to make a correction"

and with one delete, I get

   "neecorrect a correction".

The 2nd delete caused a lot more than one char to be deleted, but the weird part is that it pasted in something that I had already typed.

How can I make this weird behavior stop?

Btw, the above is not an artificial example. It is what actually happened right now in asking this question.

If I carefully highlight the words I want to change, I think I have done better when I type in the correction. But I just want the typing to go easier.

This, combined with the other problem you posted, is a clear sign of a buggy keyboard. Luckily, there are MANY MANY better keyboards available, like Gboard, Swype, Swiftkey to name just a few. Just try it, and see if your life becomes easier without all those keyboard problems.

>> clear sign of a buggy keyboard.
I uninstalled the updates to the LG keyboard and this problem appears to have gone away.

The idea that the software may have bugs wasn't on my mind. I was thinking that I would have to make some keyboard setting changes. The factory reset of the keyboard seems to be working as far as this problem is concerned. Thank you
