Need SW tools for fixing "Unfortunately Android systems has stopped" problem, on Samsung Galaxy Note 5, while sharing pictures

Need a free tool kit to fix the "Unfortunately, Android System has stopped" problems.  I got this error message on my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 when I try to send any photos from Galaxy - by hitting "share".

I have tried dr.phone  (didn't pay) but it didn't even work for US based phones. I'd appreciate suggestions on any proven working tool kits that can fix this problem. Free ones preferred since I just use it once. Hope you can also give some instruction or procedures for fixing the problem.

Thanks

Can you please take a screenshot of the error (if you can) and upload it here

What happens after you get that error? Does the phone shutdown or just continue normally?
Jackie Man IT ManagerCommented:
You do not need any SW tools to fix as the problem is caused by third party apps.

List out all apps you have installed recently.

Rob,
If I open the gallery a picture a show like this but if I hit share it display a message "The Android system has stopped", flashing fast,, had to take a video to read it, but the  phone continue to work as normal.

As in the attached if I hit "share" the gallery app will fail.

zzhang2006, the photo you attached is not a screenshot.
zzhang2006ProfessorAuthor Commented:
Thomas,
Yes, it was the screenshot, but it didn't include the bottom action bar which contains "share" and if I press the "share" the " .. stopped" message flashes out and Gallery quits the same moment. Could'nt take a snapshot of the message. A friend took a video with his phone so I saw the message bursted out.

Is it the problem with the Gallery app or is it with the "share" routine?
Jackie Man IT ManagerCommented:
"share" routine

You need to tell us on clicking share what app will be launched by default.

The Gallery app will remember what app will be launched (and you cannot change the default app unless you know which app it is). If the default app cannot launch, Gallery app will crash.
zzhang2006ProfessorAuthor Commented:
Well when I click share normally it shows up a list of apps from which I may choose to launch and to share the photo. I didn't remember there was a single default app that it's supposed to launch, though I may be wrong.

well since you mention that I did remember I recently removed an app which was on that list in particular its WeChat. Could that be a problem if it's trying to fill up the list and didn't find the old candidates?

What is the version of Gallery app?

What is the version of Android OS?

Gallery app
Goto Settings -> Apps -> App Manager

.. and try to clear cache first.
zzhang2006ProfessorAuthor Commented:
My Gallery is version 3.0.* and my Android is version 6.0
.

I did try to clear the cache for the gallery but didn't help

My Gallery is version 3.0.* and my Android is version 6.0.

The above are pretty out-dated.

But, anyway, try to start your Samsung Note 5 in Safe Mode to check whether the problem is caused by third party app.

Turn on safe mode
Turn the device off.
Press and hold the Power key.
When 'Samsung Galaxy Note5' appears on the screen, release the Power key.
Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
Safe mode will display in the bottom left corner of the screen.
Release the Volume down key when you see Safe Mode

Also, before starting the phone in Safe mode, please try to uninstall FB Messenger and then disable Facebook app and check whether the problem is gone.

If the problem is gone, it means that your Android OS is outdated, you need to update the Android OS to 7.0 if you do not want to disable Facebook app.

Maybe a related problem my Android fail to update it says I connect with AT&T side and the software is a currently up-to-date currently update how can I force it to update to Android 7  ,
Also I could neither unistall nor could  I update the Gallery which is out dated as you pointed out.
Jackie Man IT ManagerCommented:
Open Galaxy app to update Gallery app.

Samsung App Store is called Galaxy and you can only update Gallery app from Galaxy app.

Do you have the app hang problem when you share within another app?
zzhang2006ProfessorAuthor Commented:
Yes, in fact I just installed two different galleries from Galaxy Apple, from other  authors, and found  out that they all have the same problem ___ Galery/share    Crashing, but not the phone..
Even though it says "Android system has stopped "
Jackie Man IT ManagerCommented:
Uninstall other Gallery app and only install the stock Gallery app from Samsung.
