Hi,

I have a question regarding Windows Terminal Services.

Where do I install a remote app? On the Remote Gateway Server or on the Remote Desktop Server?

Thank you in advance.

RemoteApp capabilities are a part of Remote Desktop Session Host role. The RemoteApp Control Panel can be installed wherever you like, but I would actually recommend against installing it on a Session Host, since it provides administrative controls that are best kept away from systems that users are going to access. If you're deploying RemoteApp, you should have a Remote Desktop Web Access Server somewhere, which can be combined with the Gateway server if you like. The RemoteApp and Desktop Connections tools are just a simple control panel that exposes the ability to create remoteapp capable deployment packages to connect to Applications that have been published through Remote Desktop Web Access. You can put any of these roles on any system you like, but be aware that any administrative controls that are installed on Session Hosts can be visible to users that connect to those session hosts.
