You can also try to <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ping_(networking_utility)" rel="ugc">PING</a> the host (<a href="http://www.whatever.tld" rel="ugc">www.whatever.tld</a>) and see if the name resolves, but it sounds like something isn't set up right in DNS.

Where did you do this? I assume register.com is still your domain authority. if you are using some other DNS authority for this then you will need to change a setting at register.com to point to your DNS authority for this to work.

I am still willing to bet DNS authority was never pointed to the proper place in his registry.com account. if that is the reason, I should be getting points here too.

mxtoolbox.com informed me that the &quot;Primary Name Server Not Listed At Parent&quot; which lead me to fix the problem.

I'm hosting a new website on a Windows 2012 sever using IIS and I purchased the URL from register.com and through register.com I updated the &quot;A&quot; record with the outside IP address of my new site. &nbsp;It's been over 48 hours so enough time for it to cycle through. &nbsp;I'm unable to use the URL name to get the site, but if I use the outside IP address then I'm successfully browsing to it. &nbsp;Is this a DNS issue? &nbsp;Thoughts???
