Moving away from ATT as my email host

Folks,
For years I've been using bellsouth.net to host my emails. Today I have come to HATE bellsouth.net. I have .pst files and .ost (?) files.
I have built up a large library of emails that I refer to from time to time. I also am using Outlook 2016.
I have three needs.
First I want to convert my .ost format to .pst format.
Next I would like to export the new pst file to a gmail account I already have.
Finally, I would continue to  use Outlook.

I am not seeking a solutions for all three in this question, but would like to know which of these can be done.

I'm not aware of .ios files so can't help you there.  Any chance they are .ost files?

As far as getting from the .pst to Gmail, one option is to set up a profile for the Gmail account, open it in Outlook, open the old .pst file, and then copy (or move) the email folders to the Gmail account.  Depending on the size of the PST file, the last step could take a while as it is copying all of that data up to your Gmail account on the internet.

I did mean ost files. Will just the files move or will the directories come with them?

There are utilities that will allow you to convert an OST to a PST, but I don't know of any free ones.  I think they run about $100.

If your ATT account is still active, timgreen's suggestion should work well.  If not, you'll want to look into those utilities.  If the account is no longer active, make a copy of the OST file right away.  You'll not want to lose it!
Thanks for the tip
